  • Bon Iver  - Perth

I’ll never forget finding a Youtube link to this when it first came out in 2011 and listening to it on repeat. The instrumentation, melody and ultimate riot of sounds at the end is just incredible.

  • Don henley - New York Minute

That fretless bass part that sits all the way through the track…..chefs kiss. The balance of tension and then the release of a huge chorus with Henley’s sweet tones.

  • Tom Waits - Come on up to the house

This is how I was introduce to Mr. Waits and I’ve been on a deep dive ever since. His transition from this lounge room blues/jazz singer into this monstrous artist that turned left and never looked back. Whilst this song kinda goes back to his roots, you can’t deny that husky voice pulling at your heart strings.

  • Listener - Wooden Heart

A spoken word poet, Dan Smith ties together a lot of things about life with this song. I’ve always been drawn to melodies rather than lyrics, but Wooden Heart draws deep into what makes us human.

  • Peter Gabriel - Book of Love (Live)

A cover that takes this song to a new level. Just stick on a pair of headphones and fall.

  • Caspian - The Dove

This song has meant a lot to me over a number of years. It’s also been the backbone of when I’m stressed, happy or just want to be at peace.

  • Amusement Parks on Fire - In Flight

Back when you only found bands via myspace, Amusement Parks on Fire stood out. A bend of shoe gaze with ambient music, just close your eyes and dream.

  • Blink 182 - Asthenia

Unashamedly still very much a fan of the band and pop punk. The self titled album took the band to a new level and I don’t think it got the proper attention it deserved. It showed maturity and where they wanted to go as a band.

  • Tycho - Daydream

I first heard Tycho when I was in university and gave me the confidence that I could release instrumental music. Beautiful blend of synths, drums and bass, Tycho is still very much an influence on me today.

  • Riceboy Sleeps - Indian Summer

Jonsi (Sigur Rós) and Alex Somers side project. This album has been so influentially on me and how I produce. Another album for just sticking on some headphones and forgetting about the world.
