Slowdive - Kisses
my first track is from the iconic shoegaze/dream pop group from Reading England this song is so dreamy and angelic and takes me to a completely different place when listening to it made me realise doing this style of vocals would suit me very well.
Nothing Nowhere - Bedhead
is an early Nothing Nowhere track from his self-titled EP Nothing Nowhere the Vermont native has been my favourite artist since 2017 and has had the biggest influence on my music by far. Lyrically I've been heavily influenced by tracks like this we both love talking about our nostalgia and the sadness of the loss of our childhood.
Foster the People - Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)
foster the people where my introduction to indie music at a young age and the album Torches is a modern-day classic in my eyes
lil peep - Gym Class
Lil Peep's music will forever have a special place in my heart he was the artist who inspired me to make music the rawness and honesty in his lyrics are something I admire. He pioneered a whole sound and wave and his influence will be heard for generations to come rest in peace Gus.
Bones - Palm Drive
I picked this song because the whole atmosphere of the track is amazing and the way he can go from rapping to singing so easily is a testament to the versatility that he has showcased many times
Oasis - Talk Tonight
This is my favourite Oasis song the rawness of Noel Gallagher's songwriting and vocals make this song a treat to listen to. He really pours his heart out on this one
Fontaines D.C - Roman Holiday
This is my favourite track from Dublin's own Fonatines D.C it's a big change of pace for Fontaines it's a much more ambient track with Grian Chatten's lush reverbed vocals stealing the show.
American Football - Never Meant
Now a song from the iconic Midwest emo band who only seem to keep getting more popular more than 20 years into their career this song perfectly describes teen angst and is one of my favourite tracks of all time
R.E.M. - Man on the Moon
This track is so special to me the midwest vibe with such clever lyrics and Michael Stipe has never sounded better perfectly showcases why R.E.M. is such a beloved band also Automatic for the People has aged like fine wine one of the best albums of all time in my humble opinion
Nothing Nowhere - Hopes up
The last track on this list is from Nothing Nowhere Again had to stop myself from putting him more than twice this is the song that made me fall in love with Joe Mulherin's music the track perfectly describes the emotions of thinking about a former partner who you thought was the one. On this track Nothing Nowhere teams up with a idol of his Dashboard Confessional
